This course is for people who would like to work in or are working in the mining industry, the unit is from the RII - Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package.  Our trainers are experienced in both top end and Central Australian driving conditions.  This training will help you meet your work health safety regulations.  The unit of competency is: RIIVEH305F Operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle.

You will do the course in your own work vehicle (4WD) to ensure best results. You can have up to three (3) people per 4WD vehicle.

About the course

The training will prepare you for driving a 4x4 vehicle with a GVM less than 4.5 ton in the mining industry.  This course is tailored to meet the needs of the gas, mining and oil industry.  Learn key skills in driving a four wheel drive vehicle and off road defensive driving.  Our Nationally Accredited two (2) day four wheel drive training course is 80% practical and 20% theory.  Our courses are limited to twelve (12) students per course.  Watch the 20 second video, it will help on water crossing.
